Felt Garment Rescue
9 Jun 2019 - 9 Jun 2019
(5 places available)
This short day workshop is mainly a demonstration format, looking at "Fitting, Finishes, Fixes, Combining UFO's", adding to and taking away for a much better fit.
- Remolding U.F.O garments, increasing, and reducing
- Pattern shapes for styling with a twist, including collars, front panels,
- Feature techniques: pin-tucking, steam pleating, and ways of extending hem lengths
There will be lots of fun learning from each other’s felt mysteries. Christine loves felt but often find it a challenge to get the best finishes and fit, so she will be sharing a few tricks learnt during her thirty years of working with textiles. You may wish to bring a sewing machine to sample techniques.
You will not be making any felt during this workshop.
