Wendy Bailye

Wendy Bailye has been making handmade felt for 25 years, the last ten years working fulltime as a feltmaker and tutor. She has been a past editor of Felt Magazine and runs workshops from The Felt Studio in Brisbane. Training as a Home Economics and Art teacher gave her a deep understanding of textile processes and fibres. She loves to share her love of feltmaking with others and teaches internationally and nationally each year. Her work is playful, creative and experimental. She particularly loves creating new surface techniques and designs. Her most recent work has been exploring “50 Shades of Grey Felt” -her latest and most popular felting course! Wendy loves textiles and the fabulous creative possibilities that handmade felt gives to all those fortunate souls who work with it.
