Judy Davidson

Judy's association with wool goes back a long way. She grew up on a sheep farm near the small town of Uralla, New England, and the joy of feeding poddy lambs with a huge bottle of milk and the activity in the woolshed are fabulous memories.

Judy is fascinated by the science and art of felting and the many methods that different feltmakers use.  Having joined Canberra Region Feltmakers in 2008, she has undertaken many roles within the organisation and currently serves as the Workshop Development Officer for the group, communicating and securing talented tutors nationally and internationally for Canberra Region Feltmakers.

Judy holds an Advanced Diploma in Garment Production from CIT and has worked in schools as a Textiles/Science assistant.  She enjoys the way merino colours melt together and she now concentrates on the quality of her feltmaking to produce fine articles and garments.

Feltmaking is a relatively inexpensive craft giving the maker a great degree of creative satisfaction. Judy says it is always a pleasure to help workshop participants achieve exciting results.
